Ukulele is lovely.

So lately I've just been playing Ukulele a lot. Here is a video of me attempting to play "You and I" by Ingrid Michaelson.

Why 'hideyourbadge'?

Most interns in DC work 'on the hill'. The bosses in pencil skirts and bowties find it obnoxious that the interns 'on the hill' wear their badges everywhere. They think they are flaunting their lowly intern status, and should therefore Hide Their Badge.

I don't work on the hill. I have the utmost respect for those that do. Their hours are longer, their work is harder, and, most importantly, their dress code is much more strict. So, I say wear that badge with pride. You worked to get there, you're working there now, and let's be real, DC wouldn't run without the slave labor that are unpaid internships. So, get good use out of that badge.

Coming into the internship scene, I planned to Hide My Badge, as I had read online that it is looked down upon. I now realize that we also have power in this situation. They need us. So, by golly, they can look at our badges. Especially those on Capitol Hill. If all you've given us is a badge and b*tch work, let me flaunt my damn badge.
